Scribble Green builds a research dataset of company financial figures. If, and only if, your organisation turns on data bank sharing, figures extracted from its documents may be added to it. These terms explain what that means.
Only extracted figures that have passed Genni's checks or been reviewed: the company name, financial year, statement, template line item, value, currency and source page. Your original files, unmapped lines, and anything about your organisation or its people are never added.
Scribble Green and its research arm may use the data bank to produce research, analysis and data products, including ones offered to others. Figures may be combined with those from other sources.
Sharing is off unless an owner or admin of your organisation turns it on, and they can turn it off at any time in Data & consent. Turning it off stops new contributions immediately. Figures already contributed are kept, because they may already be part of published work; to ask about removing them, contact hello@scribblegreen.com.
Every change is recorded with who made it, when, and which version of these terms applied.
Much of what Genni processes, such as listed companies' annual reports, is already public. Sharing lets that public information be organised for research; it does not make private information public.
